Martha Phiri

Martha Phiri is the owner of Bakubung tradition and dress making initiative situated within Moses Kotane Municipality, in Ledig village. The enterprise was instigated with a purpose of generating an income for the family. Regrettably, Martha's dreams and wishes of fending for her family only became a fading depiction due to her lack of elementary knowledge of running and managing a business.

Although Mrs Phiri's sartorial were of good quality, little did she know that in order for her business to grow and generate an income that will sustain her household- some basic business knowledge in her daily business activities must be employed for it to be efficacious. Consequently, her business was constantly deteriorating rather than yielding profit like she yearned.

All hope for Mrs Phiri to ever make in the dressmaking business and fend for her family was diminished, quitting was the only word that always reverberated on her ears until she was introduced to Hand in Hand in 2013 by Hellen Modutwane who is an EDF apportioned to Moses Kotane Municipality. Tabulated and bulleted are the facts that will highlight Bakubung enterprise Prior and after Hand in Hand's contribution.
